Can't connect to the server... unknown reason

Hi people,

I have no idea why I can't connect to the: ETc|Clan,XPSave,ETPubII 8SEC SPAWN server.

In the console I get: server disconnected for unknown reasonPunkBuster Client: Not Connected.
I have installed PunkBuster and it is enabled. I also tired to download new ET, but I get same problem...

Can someone help please?

Hi Cisek,

I saw you tried to connect several times yesterday but it was written you were banned 'by an admin' permanently. I looked into our ban list but I couldn't find you. I guess Jay could figure it out and tell you what happens.
Also, I think you have a 2.55 version of the game as you only see 'server disconnected' in the console. Try getting a 2.60b version, so you'll see more infos about disconnections/kicks/bans/problems in your console.

I’m surprised if I got a permanent ban :O really not sure what for... I hope we can sort this out?

Yes, you are correct I was using an old version of ET, but last night I downloaded the 2.60 version and still couldn’t connect to the server, and no reason was displayed.

That is strange, have you tried running as admin or something?

No problem.

I've just thought about something else : we often ban cheaters from our server, so, if someone borrowed your computer and cheated with it, both him and you would be banned. Another thing could be that a cheater used your ip or has the same ET/Nitmod key as yours, so you got banned when he got banned.
OR you messed up with a leader who then has good reasons to ban you

just to confirm, you was seen connecting 10 hours ago , are you using Protocol: ET 2.60b / ET 2.55 ?

Is your firewall accepting your ET exec

Do you run as Admin your ET ( you should)

there is no ban at server under your guid. But you had same mac adress from a guy we banned 3 years ago for cheating. Your unbanned. Have fun.

Thanks for the explanation. I’m not sure how could this happen, how I could be so lucky to have someone’s MAC address?

i found this mac adress 3 times in the database. Maybe its a virtuell network adapter like vpn or something else. Anyway, welcome back
