i listen to metal mostly but my range is limitless, here is a list of my favourate 5 bands in order:
1: soundgarden, seatlle band, {although not metal,but cornell the singer,has amazing life knowledge and has an amazing abilty to transfer his soul/or yours into music,an epic band,easy my no1.
2:sikth, english band{ An unknown band really a serious case of under rated because of fame,but the technical musicians and obsure rythem,psychotic,crazy,unpreditcable,yet familiar,warming,and steady,this bands talent for me is my no2 choice.
3:chimaira:cleaveland america:{ A young yet mature sounded hard stomping metal band what the future they bring for us is always garanteed to satify the hardcore metaheads.
4:Unearth: american band:{ i found this band this year,found this song"my will be done" it blew my mind,i got the latest album "the march",it blew my mind,then got the discography.they all blew my mind.what a find,,im a lucky man,awsome oldschool metal with a 2009 feel,,pearcing solo,s and thumping riffs .
5:pearl jam: seatlle band{ some of the bands that came from seattle america for me,all came at once,nirvana,pearljam,soundgarden,alice in chains,stone temple pilots,they all knew and played together at one time or other,,but for me,pearl jam made some much variety,i can listen to there albums over and over again,for easy listening these are my no2 ,next to soundgarden.

like metallica, slipknot, hammerfall,in flames,disturbed. bullet for my valentine,volbeat,sonata arctica

i am the same as dark and free, i am mainly into metal music slipknot, rage against the machine, trivium, pantera etc etc .. but i do also like softer pop-punk rock from my skating days blink 182, sum 41, lost prophets, aiden and the list goes on

im just not into all the dance/hip-hop style, not a single bit

I listen the most time Electronic sound like Sven Vaeth, Uli Brenner,Talla2xlc ,Dj Dag ,Dj Tiesto,Dj Shog,Prodigy,Paul van Dyk and some Hardcorstyle like The Prophet, Fausto and so on!

Metal sounds only a few bands Mettalica,Rammstein,Rage against the Machine and some old things from Sepultura.

Hip Hop sounds: my first choice Cypress Hill all Albums

and also Lil John,Snoop Dog,Eminem,Fantastische 4 (German group).But hip hop only when i did smoke something!

post-hardcore ( Story of the Year, Alexisonfire, Thrice)
melodic hardcore ( Rise Against, Strung Out, Ignite)
punk rock ( Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, boysetsfire, Billy Talent)
