Reinstall ET, Important files. ET key

So after trying everything i could to reduce my ping i can only conclude that something is conflicting within or with the game. (just tested with cable) Im going to reinstall it and start my config from scratch.

Question:

Do i just take the ET key from the main folder and place it again in the new install to keep my profile data for the server?

Also it would be nice if someone posted important cvar commands so i dont have to look them all up.

in nitmod folder save the nkey.dat file too.
