U made me lol , first is the processor chipset, second is motherboard... So where u get the "Second is better" ?

U cannot open a mac ( I think. U can but its rarely done i guess ) , BUT i think a Mac and a regular PC are just the same.

Mac & Windows are just 2 other operating systems. Doesnt change the actual computer, You will still need ram , processor and so on...

Sorry about double post , But on topic again.

The motheboard you got there is pretty .. old. It only supports DDR ram ( oldest ) And ur processor is also old. I think they will fit , so it will work.
But its hard to find info about your stuff... My tip : Buy a some new components xD

yah its old but i need this pc to play et sometimes i can play whit laptop to but i just working whit my laptop and ..... .
tnx u all, hmm then must be processor broken becose motherboard is ok. I dont see any pic when i turn pc on, but whit 1.6 mhz processor was all ok, but just to slow.
belive or not but i can kill u whit this pc (ofc not this video card i have ati radeon hd2600 pro )

Your PC is as fast as the slowest item in it. Think about that :p if the stuff isnt matched properly it isnt going to work.
Its like doing : U have 1L clio with the body of a ferrari ! xD

Of course you can change components and expansion-cards to a mac just like to a PC.
And you're right, nowadays the components are pretty much the same after Steve changed to intel-based processors.
And mac isn't an operating system, OS X is.. ;D

I personally use Windows7 (PC), Ubuntu 10.10 (Laptop) and OS X (MacBook) to run ET, all work just fine.

Well the most powerful I own is Mac Pro 4,1 (early 2009), but that's at the studio, so no ET with that computer.. ;D
