How to set up widescreen in ET?

Hi ETC guys,
I will make it short rather then writing tons of words like I love your server.

I tried few times to set ETC widescreen but it did not work.
Please could someone help me and advise step by step? I would much apreciate your help.

Also somehow when I set resolution in ETC it always reverse back to 800*600 after I quit and start the game again. I graphic setting are always lost.

What is your screen resolution ?
first u need to set, in your config, r_customwidth xxx(mine is 1366) and r_customheight xxx(mine is 768) and then r_mode -1.

I have 1680*1050. I will try to chnage the config file to see if it works.
Must be looking probably stupid but since my new job I dont have much time for my 1st love. Racing simulator Liveforspeed.I have been very good there even able to beat top world guys but it took a lot of my time which I dont have anymore as being a boss for my 11 guys:-). Thats why I started playing ETC a year ago.

so i tried to change the settings but it worked only partially. I have now ETC widescreen but it started with reoslution 800*600 stretched to widescreen even I set custom width and height to 1680 1050.

Any idea how to sort it?

i have same behaviour in fact, its annoying but i do r_mode -1 in console ( when ET is just started) and next i do /vid_restart.

I have a similar prob. I dont have a widescreen, but my ET never "remembers" my vid-settings. I now always have to click on my Profile (even if its set as default) then the resolution changes..weird but it works.

If you want it to be loaded every time you start ET you have to make changes in etmain config, but easier will be to add cvars to the ET shortcut like here:
