cant install GTA :(

so, i posted this already in 10 forum, but nobody could help me

when i try to install gta san andreas, appears this error:

i played this game already on my pc and it worked...

can someone help me

Did you properly deinstall the old game? Maybe there`s still data left from then which might interfere..
but else ... i dont know..sry

falls du vista hast, führst du das alles auch als administrator aus?


und bei google finde ich nur "netzwerkfehlercode" und "zugriff verweigert"

@dipl: habs richtig deinstalliert, hab aber noch ma bei den registrierungsschlüsseln nachgeguckt (Ausführen/regedit.exe) und da alles mit "gta" "rockstar games" oder "san andreas" im namen gelöscht, der fehler kommt aber immer noch...

@jay: hab xp, bin administrator

The most proably thing is error performed by your registry, cause last (de)installation.
If you are advanced user of Windows, try find remaining entry of GTA in your registry, or use at least some of 'registry cleaners' program.
If this not help you, I am afraid the last thing you can do is 'format c:'.

i've searched in my registry all entrys with "gta" "rockstar games" and "san andreas" in its name and deleted them all, but the prob remains. and i used "free windows registry cleaner" too...

dont wanna format C

if you have definitely and precisely removed all registry entries its perhaps any CD/DVD-ROM Emulator driver like you get shipped with Daemon Software or its your InstallShield Wizard Software which is going insane. In last case remove it from your system and hope that it works for you

...i created new profile at windows and set it as administrator und i could install gta thx jay, but im sure i was admin before too...
