since this monday i got a new pc.
this pc works wonderfull, but...
each visit to ET isnt quite wonderful.
first time i want to get in, ig to immediatly kicked,
and second time i come in, the whole pc stucks and i have to restart it....
can someone help me please or i am not able to play as much as i want....

A friend of me have the same problem , he has buy a new pc ( 3/4 weeks ago) but Et dont work.
He tryed to install the version 2.6 but it dont work :O
Now i dont know if it work ...
I saw that Et better work on ''Old'' Pc's , i have a old pc (2005) And et Run allways , maybe i got lags but i think its bcuz of Pb because before when i play on other server i never lag ...
So maybe try to go to a other server and see if the same hapen or if its only on a server with Pb ...

If you run ET in Win7, try to use XP-compatibility mode.
Even better is to forget Windows an run ET in linux..

lol ihave 2004 y. tuned pc where i play et.
I had same shit whit win 7. just uninstalled all stuff (and pb), reinstalled few times, did few win updates and all was fine.
Sometimes its still sayng disconneted unknow reason. Keep reconnecting (somtimes 10 times),whit win xp i had ping 70-90 but whit win 7 i had 100-150 so gived up and add one old hdd whit win xp (but that old hdd working like plane).
Its unsloved trouble for me sry but i think i cant help u. U can google it and look what u find.

I know that there are ET clients that people have made for windows 7 , but theyre made by other clan leaders/programmers and often have other clan stuff in them. But all of that is propably cleanable , and u can still play in ETc| in those clients , and with normal ping. My laptop is running windows 7 too and i oftenly cant get in ETc| SexCup in there or i have huge ping there.

At home my pc runs windows xp sp3 and works great. but my client is bout 6 years old i have never upgraded it and it has a long history, so i dont know howmany mods n stuff i have here

I also know that people have difficulties installing ET nowadays into PCs since most of the servers wont work , i know that the punkpuster needs upgrading and some other stuffs.

I hope this post was useful but in the meanwhile try running the windows 7 in safe mode by pressing F8 or F6 while u have powerd on the pc and run the ET in windows xp compatibility mode + low resolution at 1st like 840x640. If that doesnt work and u really wunt to play ET , u have to think bout downgrading windows 7 to windows XP or Linux. Some Ubuntu-s play ET also , but they mostly are rund on CD-s.

i now got the problem exact; when i run ET like 10 min. the pc will freeze, but you keep hearing the sounds...
and when i get disconnected it says: ''ETc|MARS timed out''
well, i keep searching what the cause of the problem can be. and if it is needs to be necessary, i will contact microsoft or so
or some other people.
guys, already thx for your helping and see you in back in the server, if this damn pc will run smoothly
